DESCRIPTION:The seminar will present research insights from the Vinnova fun
 ded project DigIn – Digital Innovation of Business Models in Industrial Ec
 osystems. The project focuses on how companies can profit from digitalizat
 ion – i.e. the use of digital technologies to innovate a business model an
 d provide new revenue streams and value-producing opportunities in industr
 ial ecosystems. Transitioning towards digitally enabled advanced services 
 represents a radical shift in the business logic for provider-customer rel
 ationships\, as they need to better understand how to realign their busine
 ss to reach win-win relationships. The presentation will include:• Insight
 s on how firms are striving to profit from digitalization\, the challenges
  they face and key learnings based on more than 200 interviews with 30 + c
 ompanies\, such as Boliden\, ABB\, Volvo CE\, SCA\, Ericsson\, Sandvik\, E
 piroc\, Metso and Komatsu Forest and their ecosystem partners.• Promote ac
 ademic discussion about how provider\, customers\, and ecosystem actors (e
 .g. digital partners\, service partner\, sub-suppliers\, and even competit
 ors) can develop their business models to create/capture value from digita
 lization. Bio:Vinit Parida is a Chaired Professor of Entrepreneurship and 
 Innovation at Luleå University of Technology (Sweden) and Associate Editor
  in Journal of Business Research. His research interests include organizat
 ional capabilities\, servitization\, business model innovation\, digitaliz
 ation of industrial ecosystems\, and the circular economy. Vinit (Google s
 cholar: 2978\; H-index: 24) has published 200+ articles\, conference paper
 s and industry reports\, such as Strategic Management Journal\, Journal of
  Management Studies\, Long Range Planning\, Industrial Marketing Managemen
 t\, Journal of Business Research International Journal of Production Econo
 mics\, Production and Operation Management\, International Journal of Oper
 ations & Production Management\, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal\, and 
 others. He is leading three Vinnova and two regional EU funded research pr
 ojects\, which involves more than 30 Swedish and international companies. 
 He is the recipient of multiple awards for his research and best superviso
 r award.
